Open Forum scheduled for Nov. 16

Open forums will be held with Georgia Health Sciences University President Ricardo Azziz and Augusta State University Interim President Shirley Kenny at noon Friday, Nov. 16 in the Natalie and Lansing B. Lee Jr. Auditorium in the GHSU Auditoria Center; and at 3 p.m. in the ASU Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre.

In addition to the Presidents’ remarks, both forums will feature ASU Athletic Director Clint Bryant and GHSU Vice President for Student Services and Development Kevin Frazier presenting consolidation-related milestones.

Both sessions will be streamed live.

Consolidation Update: September 28, 2012

Recent items from the Consolidation Action Team:

    • The consolidated organizational charts are now available: Org Charts

  • A recommendation was made to provide more focused information, with an emphasis on current consolidation efforts and progress and topics of interest, at open forums.
  • A proposal from the Promotion and Tenure work team was approved. The proposal includes a timeline, tenure process, promotion process, and an appeal process. Standards and policies are still being drafted.

The next open forum is scheduled for October 15.

Open forums scheduled for September 7

Drs. Ricardo Azziz and Shirley Kenny, will hold Open Forums to provide an update on progress and answer questions about the consolidation process at noon on Friday, September 7, 2012 in GHSU’s Lee Auditorium and 3 p.m. in Augusta State University’s Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre.

The Lee Auditorium session will be streamed live, and questions can submitted online in advance or during the session.

Dr. Ricardo Azziz and ASU’s Interim President, Dr. Shirley Kenny, will hold Open Forums to provide an update on progress and answer questions about the consolidation process at noon on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Augusta State University’s Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre and 3 p.m. in GHSU’s Lee Auditorium.

The Lee Auditorium feed will be stream lived and questions can submitted online. Instructions are available for watching the feed on Macs and PCs.

Open forums and public Consolidation Working Group meeting Wednesday, May 16

Additional sessions are being planned for June 6.

On May 16 Dr. Ricardo Azziz and Dr. William Bloodworth held two open forums on the ASU-GHSU consolidation to provide an update on progress and answer questions about the consolidation process.

Faculty, staff, students and members of the community were encouraged to attend.
