Proposed Mission, Vision, & Values Approved by Consolidation Working Group
After using the feedback received from the ASU and GHSU communities, the Consolidation Action Team revised and submitted the following mission, vision, and values to the Chancellor’s Consolidation Working Group for approval. The group unanimously accepted the proposed mission, vision, and values that are being sent to the Board of Regents for review at their May meeting.
Our mission is to provide leadership and excellence in teaching, discovery, clinical care, and service as a student-centered comprehensive research university and academic health center with a wide range of programs from learning assistance through postdoctoral studies.
Our vision is to be a top-tier university that is a destination of choice for education, health care, discovery, creativity, and innovation.
Collegiality – reflected in collaboration, partnership, sense of community, and teamwork.
Compassion – reflected in caring, empathy, and social responsibility.
Excellence – reflected in distinction, effectiveness, efficiency, enthusiasm, passion, and quality.
Inclusivity – reflected in diversity, equality, fairness, impartiality, and respect.
Integrity – reflected in accountability, ethical behavior, honesty, and reliability.
Leadership – reflected in courage, honor, professionalism, transparency, and vision.
Organization Charts Approved by Consolidation Working Group
The Consolidation Working Group also approved the high-level organization charts proposed by Dr. Azziz and Dr. Bloodworth. The group also unanimously accepted these recommendations.
First Drafts of Planning Documents Submitted by Work Teams
Work teams were provided with a structured outline of information needed to begin the work of consolidating functions for the new university. Their first drafts were due on March 9th, and the CAT received 49 reports and provided initial feedback to the teams for their continued development. The next version is due March 30th.
